It lasts longer if you put 8 batteries in but it will run on 4. Much like the Bushnell Trophy Cams.

Or another way - it only needs 4 batteries but using 8 batteries will extend the operating time.

Specs say "less than 1 second" capture time,
but reviews I've read say 1.4 seconds...?

My covert camera will take 2 pictures of me driving my yamaha rhino at 20mph in front of it don't no how fast that trigger speed is but I was pleased
