Go hunt bedding or food source where deer come daily, deer don't visit scrapes more than once, nor in the daylight either. Hey Bux, I have hunted Pelham Range a bunch. I left you a message in the pressure thread. Check it out and get back with me. Thanks

Trox already knows I'm weird.
I've been around a VERY long time so it's already been established.

Forget the wind and just hunt Papaw. Trox is going to declare you weird. Check out the, how long did you hunt before you killed a deer thread. You're trolling like hell.Actually I called you weird for all the posts you've made as a whole especially the one about how long before you killed a deer.I wasn't calling you weird for your wind comment just said you were absolutely wrong with that comment and that comment is still wrong. You proved on a scale of 1-10 weirdness that you were a 12 with your follow-up post to me on that thread. As far as your question here..If there's a defined trail crossing or following the creek I'd back out and find somewhere up or down the trail where the wind might be a little better in my favor and hunt...or maybe I'd chance it and just hunt it if the rut is wide open especially if it's a new area I didn't know anything about. Now since I've satisfied you by responding you can go back to being a weird ass.

If its public Id go ahead and set up and hunt it. Never know when another joe blow is going to come along and set up shop.
Only accurate rifles are interesting.

Forget the wind and just hunt Papaw. Made a mistake Big Game. Should have stated, Trox is going to declare you absolutely wrong.

You actually called me weird for my coyote thread. The followup was to discuss the predator pit theory. Check the thread again for the AON article. As far as the hunting situation. There was a clearly defined trail coming off the hill with deer stepping in the creek and continuing up the hill. A deer on that trail would pass by me at 15 yards. The rut was in the cruising/seeking phase, not the hard chasing phase.

Now this is where, I'm really not getting you. It was probably a 100-200 foot wide strip of land that ran along Stemmer's Run a small creek basically. It ran for about a mile. What difference does the size of the tract make. I had a max effective range of 30 yards. Only worry was a bad hit with the deer getting on private land.
