Drive em both and see which feels best. I have a Rincon and the 420 I recently rode felt much more maneuverable.

I think the 420 will be plenty big enough. Might save you a little money.

It is personal preference but I would go with the 420.

I've owned both. I preferred the foreman...

I have had 2 Foreman. I like them a lot but a 420 rides better and is plenty big enough.

I don't have a dog in this fight. But, you said playing in the mud. So, I'd stay away from the es. Go with manual shift. I know a lot of guys that went with es and wished they just went manual shift.

THIS

I don't own a 4 wheeler but I just don't understand the Auto Industry (and in this case the ATV industry) taking a feature that is primarily intended to be used in Mud/Water/Snow and making it electric. Just like transfer cases on newer trucks...electric dash knob....give me a manual transfer case with a floor shifter any day. Same with atv transmissions.

I like manual over electric which you can get in both. The Foreman comes with a locking differential in the 14s and up. Most don't need it but it would be better in mudding.

I like the ES. You can hold your feet up when going thru deep water/mud and still shift gears. Only neg is that its hard to give it gas with the right hand and shift with a cold beer in your left!

Agreed, much better than having an automatic shitt.

Crosstac, we had a couple of 350 es's a few years ago and liked them. The only problem I remember was a wire that would come off that would prevent shifting into reverse. The problem I have with electronic stuff is that there is more of a likelihood of stuff going wrong.

BTW, they were both Ranchers.
