Also have a set of dies for the .357 Maximum. Only guns I ever knew of chambered for this were a Dan Wesson revolver and a T/C Contender. I had the latter. 357 max was first built by Ruger, Remington and Ruger co-designed it Ruger originally produced Blackhawks in this caliber Dan Wesson was several years later

350 Remington Magnum ,6mm and 257 Roberts . I love oddball calibers, the 350 Remington is obsolete , no factory ammo is loaded for it . I had a Remington Classic in 350 Rem mag at one time. Shot it some but never hunted with it.
Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

I've got a Steyr Mannlicher model 1895 cavalry carbine from WWI... straight pull bolt action fed with an inbloc clip. It shoots the 8x56r round and at about 6 pounds and about as long as a Mini-14 it is one hell of a boom stick! But finding rounds for it is a beitch...
It's impressive technology from only 30 years after the American Civil War. I had the opportunity to shoot one of these several years ago. The bet was that I could not shoot 10 rounds. Needless to say it gives the shooter all they want but I shot it 10 times and had 10 bulls at 100 yards. The cartridges had a head stamp of 1936 with swastikas.

I've always liked the odd ball rounds.
Over the years I've owned: .257 wby (not an oddball anymore) .257 Roberts 7mm Mauser (7x57) .22 Hornet 7mm wby 9.3x62 500-416 (double rifle) .378 wby 6mm Remington 300 Whisper
I still own all of these except the .378 wb, .22 hornet, and the 7mm wby.

9.3X72R in a pre-war German drilling. 9.3x72 or 9.3x74R? Just curious. I've never heard of the 9.3x72.

9.3 x72 is much milder than 9.3x74R.Sako has a .370 magnum that naturally shoots .366 diameter bullets.
Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.

9.3X72R in a pre-war German drilling. Is the bottom barrel a 16 gauge?
We will burn that bridge when we get there

no, top TWO are 16 ga, bottom is 9.3X72R, R is for rimmed like a 30/30 brass. Loooong near straight walled 36 cal brass shooting a 196gr flat nose bullet.
First deer I killed with it was a dark brown Fallow Deer at Millers Ferry, Wilcox Co. Seemed fitting.....

Used to have and hunt with a .240 wtby mag. Sold it after the one store that had the ammo for it closed down.

I got a .35 Whelen that was my only rifle for several years. It's been from the Arctic to Africa and several points in between. It will be with me to the end. On the other end of the spectrum, I took my biggest deer, and several others, with a 6.5x55. i'm really liking the one i have . fixing to rebarrel a savage to 35 whelen too.

6mm remington, by the way, is not a modified .243; it actually is the 7x57 case basically necked down to 6mm.
i have killed deer with the 7.62x54R, 6.5x55, 8x57, and a bunch of standard chamberings. the 6.5x55 is my favorite, but since i no longer hand load, i no longer have a swede ...

I used to own a 7X57 Ackley Improved, a blown out 7X57 Mauser. Beautiful gun but it shot like crap....
Hunted Zim with a 100 year old Mauser 6.5X57, double set triggers. Killed a Zebra with it.
killed several deer with a Rem 760 pump in 257Roberts, pretty rare gun....
