Actually RL25 was it. RL33 was a few hundred fps slower and wider groups. I'm gonna try retumbo and US 869 with the barnes. I'm not getting much data just cross referencing nosler a data to barnes bullets. I'm kinda on my own here Really??? Guys are swearing by RL-33 and 140s out of the 26 Nosler and the 6.5x300 Weatherby on Longrangehunting. To hear them tell it RL-33 is the fastest. How much RL-33 did you put in to the case?

Started with 78gr RL25. Worked up to 80 gr where I got 3622 fps avg. Then went to 79 gr of RL 33 worked up 81 gr where peak load avg 3375 fps.
On the LRX load I avg 3510 with RL33 started at 79 worked up to 81.
My RL25 loads with LRX were all north of 3575. Had a bit of pressure signs with 25 but none with RL33. And no signs that were concerning and my chrono stayed consistent so I was relieved of that.

Recoil never felt on my end. But I don't pay attn to it either. Like I said all these loadings were just numbers I felt comfy with starting out at with basically zero data. Once I get my OAL case I'll be better able to fine tune my seating depth. I only loaded to book COAL this go round

N-570 is what shot good in my 6.5-300. 50BMG and H870 were close.
7828 is usually pretty good as well. That's what I shoot in 30-378 and 300WBY and accuracy is good.

What rifle setup do you have in the 26? Rate of twist and barrel length? Which factory load shot best for you?

I've got a montana extreme 2 8.5" twist 26" barrel. It's basically on a Winchester model 70 action. I really like the setup and shot 1/2" groups with the 129 LRAB and 3/4" groups with the 127 LRX this past Sat. But I think I can do better. I just need more trigger time with it.

Were the 129 LRAB hand loaded or factory?

Hand loaded. All I've shot are loads I built. Got some factory 142 LRAB headed to me to see how it shoots before I handload some 142. Mainly bought it for the brass. Going to try some retumbo and U.S. 869 loads next.
