Yep. It's dead right now in the part of Jackson county that I hunt.

From what I've seen the last 2 days, looks like things are right on schedule. Bucks looking for love but does aren't hardly ready.

x2 Pop pulled a couple green that were crusing this week. They were both 3 1/2 with good horns but crusing no chasing.

Still dead in central Morgan county also. Should start seeing scrapes in about a week and a half. Then any time in Jan you'll have a chance

Northeast part of the county should be getting close, it's still atleast 3 weeks away in PRV.

Unless there's been a shift since I hunted upper PRV peek breeding should be rockin' in 10-15 days, right around Jan. 1.

I'm not for sure about upper PRV, I guess just should have said mid to lower is at least 3 weeks away. The 12-16th has always been prime where I hunt

I hunt chilton also its been a tough year.but I finally have some bucks figured out.I went in on a spot a week ago and hung 2 climbers were there is always the same scrape every year. Put out 50 pounds of corn and made 4 mock scrapes ,and put up a camera. Iwent to check it wensday there were rubs every were, so I left the camera alone .I hunted it this morning, dint see nothing. But I did check my camera it had 7 bucks together.5 were basket racks and 2 shooters. 2 of them were fighting.but I had no does on the camera. But 5 new very fresh scrapes. Like I said it is a. Strange year.

Yep , the lower PRV came from those released on the Jones farm, upper end Skyline deer. Or at least that's what I was told was the reason for the difference. Makes sense.

Hey trox what part of chilton are you hunting,I hunt cr 24 enterprise community.I have some good land but the deer I had during july and August have just about vanished I put out a 55 gallon barrel of corn they come eat it at night then gone.its bad when you have more turkey than deer.I planted wms deer magnet I have 9 green feilds and the only hunter on around 800 acres so theres no pressure.I just dont know the problem.im started seeing some huge rubs and some very fresh scrapes today.it usually is around the 5th of january before I see rut signs.

I'm on some hot sign. Hunted the same stand yesterday and today, big , hot primary right in front, bucks worked it both days. Seeing does and smaller bucks chasing and cruising . I don't think the really old studs are on their feet in daylight much just yet, but dang close. I'm moving a couple hundred yards tomorrow to a proven killin' spot. Good sign there too. smile
