All I can say is that the UPS man is earning every red cent they work for this week. He just showed up at my house at 7:00pm in a full blown cold rain storm and dropped off about 100lbs of goodies. He knocked on the door and said' "Thank you" and was very polite. I totally appreciate good service and commend it when I get it!

Had one of them fellas trip and fall down in my driveway the other day carrying up a package. To his defense that package was HEAVY.

My buddy works for UPS. He hates this time of year. It's very understandable.

Ask for his name and call corporate and let them know.
They like to hear good stuff like that.

Same here. Had UPS stop by the house about an hour ago and he was complaining about the crazy hours. I told him the OT had to be good and he said it would be if the damn government didn't steal most of it.

They've been pulling some long hours. Had one make a delivery to the house last week at 8:30pm. Shoulda seen the look on his face when I opened the door with a Glock by my side. We don't get too many folks knocking on the door at that time of night.

Friend of mine works ups and I don't think he has worked anything less then a 10hour shift for the past month most have been 12 hours and he occasionally has a helper with him half the day. Like others have said the overtime money is nice if it wasn't taxed to death!

Good friend of mine worked for them for years. Most of them have bad knees and backs by the time they are 40.

Had a package due one day last week being delivered by FedEx. Went to bed about 9 and it was never delivered. Figured they'd deliver it the next day. Woke up the next morning and went to let the dog out and there was my package on the front porch. Pulled up tracking info and said it was delivered at 10:30pm!

Them feller's wages are extorted from UPS by the Teamsters. They do a good job delivering the stuff that I order but if they are out till midnight in a windblown shitstorm I have no sympathy for them.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

We have supplies delivered to us on almost a daily basis. Every one of them guys around the Baldwin county area are top notch....always polite and thanks me every time they hand me a package. If I'm not there they put it on the back porch where it won't get wet. The last time a fed ex guy showed up, I thought him and a semi truck driver that was delivering were gonna get into a fight in the front yard. That fed ex guy bitches about something every time he shows up and when nobody is there he leaves the package out in the wide open.....just like he did with my game cart the other day.

Our fedex people also suck at life. Ups around here is pretty good. One of our ups drivers needs to cut his damn jerrycurl hairdo. He is white and also a member on aldeer.

Last Christmas a package I was expecting was delivered to the wrong address and the shift supervisor called and made arrangements to deliver it to me himself, on his way home that night. WOW!

The poor guy on our route has made so many deliveries at my house in the past couple of weeks that my dogs don't even bark anymore - they just run out to greet him.

Those guys do earn whatever they make this time of year. I ordered a package of Omaha Steaks for all of our employees. One guy came in yesterday and said that he got an email saying it was delivered but he didn't get it. He finally chased it down. It was delivered to an uncle's house a couple of houses down. It was put in his truck with a note on the door. The uncle saw the note, got it out of the truck and put everything in his freezer without reading the addressee. His wife is ordering stuff all the time and he thought it was hers. Anyway, UPS said that they had a substitute driver and his excuse didn't make sense but my employee got their steaks anyway. That's all that matters.

This time of the year in our neighborhood they use a side-by-side pulling a utility trailer to make deliveries instead of the usual truck.

Our UPS driver should drive for NASCAR. If he can drive that big box truck like a bat out of hell, no telling what he could do in a race car. grin beers
