...I don't think he has green eyes and a blond beard.I think he looks like a Jew.LOL So there's no Jews with blond hair? There may be, but as a whole I believe they are dark haired, dark skinned and dark eyed. And that's what you think God looks like? I can't tell if you are pulling my leg or if that's what you really think... I believe that's what Jesus looks like. No, I'm not pulling your leg. Oh... i thought we were talking about being created in the image of God and what that actually meant. I think that's what Jesus looked like too. I think he looked like a mid-eastern man... At least when he was in human form. Well, I think we would all need a complete understanding of the trinity to fully understand what God looks like. Yes, Jesus looks like a middle eastern man. Yes, Jesus is God. You can't see the Holy Spirit but he is God also. Do you see where this is going?

I believe that Jesus was in fact God incarnate here on Earth, but that fact that he looked like a typical mid-eastern man when he assumed that form has nothing to do with the "image of God" referred to in the Bible. We are talking about two different things. We are in the spiritual image of God not the Earthly image of God. I don't believe that God has an Earthly image that we can conceive. We have only assumed these bodies ourselves while we are here.

There's no debate on evolution. It's a fact. This isn't global warming it's a collection of hard scientific facts that cannot be debated. Are we talking adaptations like humans or animals adapting to their environments or whole-scale changes like a tadpole turning into a human?

When you look at this chart that's starts with a monkey and ends with a man, ask yourself this. Why are there still monkeys which it starts with and men which it ends with but absolutely none of the creatures in between? Absolutely NOTHING about evolution says man came from monkeys. Do some reading and research. I believe life on this planet was brought here from elsewhere by a being 'not of this world'. That being would be God himself. We cannot understand God, nor comprehend his power. It's simply too 'big' for us dumb humans to understand. So you don't believe the Bible and just make up your own version of how your God brought man here from another planet, do I have that right?

So you don't believe the Bible and just make up your own version of how your God brought man here from another planet, do I have that right? Do you like BBQ? A tasty plate of golden fried gulf shrimp? A dozen raw Appalachia oysters? A fillet mignon with a lobster tail and drawn butter?

What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?

What's that got to do with the price of tea in China? All of those things [except the fillet mignon ] are banned by the 'inerrant' Word of God. My point being is that the Bible is full of metaphors, parables, seemingly outdated bans on all kinds of stuff. I personally don't pick and choose what I want to believe in the Bible, but I do use common sense, current common knowledge, prayer, reflection and I seek God's guidance in my interpretation of the Word. I will restate my earlier statement, If the Bible was not open to interpretation, then why are there so many Christian denominations? Who's right? Baptist? Methodist? Presbyterians? You and others infer that there is nothing but a literal interpretation of the Bible, and I'm supposed to believe that the Master of the Universe created smoked Boston butt and New Orleans BBQ shrimp and I can't eat it?

I'm sorry but if you understood anything about God's word you wouldn't use your lack of understand the difference between OT and NT to defend the position that God brought man from another planet.

What if aliens brought us here. I guess if they they did they must have looked like apes. Maybe that's where Chewbacca came from.

When did I say that we came from another planet!? I never said that! And I certainly don't claim to understand God's word. There are millions of biblical scholars that don't understand Gods Word. That is why there are so many interpretations of it. That is why I seek God's guidance in the matter. We can't pick and choose what verses in the Bible to interpret literally, but apparently that is what some people do. They eat what they want to eat regardless of what the Bible says, but then claim that the entire universe was created in six 24 hour periods 6000 years ago.
