Anyone ever been to this lodge place in Dallas County? Found out today I am going Jan 21-24, was wondering if anyone has any experiences there. Looking forward to a few days with my Dad hanging out regardless of hunting success.

I have never hunted their property but I have hunted a few miles below there. I don't think you will be disappointed. It's in a fine area with a lot of deer.

Tilden right down the road has had its share of big ones killed. I killed my first deer on jimmy Kay Youngbloods place. Saw some monsters on it too. Casey is all around it.

I'm a Casey. My grandmother was born in the house you will be staying in. My dad grew up 3 doors down from the camp and I spend about 20 weekends a year down there.

I've done my share of hunting in that area and it is what everybody says although I would caution you to expect to see a lot of deer and possibly some nice ones, but nothing tremendous as they are rare in that neighborhood. Good, but not great. Besides the rut won't have started by then. They will be in the pre-rut phase though so if it is a slow day, you might try some rattling and possibly get an old one fired up.

From that neighborhood many years ago hunting with Dallas County:

Had a great time down there, did manage to kill a nice little 8 point....our group also killed a nice 10, another cull 5 point, and a few does. Food was phenomenal, hospitality was great. Mr. Charles, and his crew are great people, I will definitely be going back

I hunted some property near Casey's and Hamilton Hills in the Minter/Carlowville/Snow Hill area back in the late 90's/early 00's. We had about 2200 acres down there that we managed hard. Ended up killing some really, really nice bucks the last year we had it.

That sounds right, but I can't remember, to be honest. The guy over it was a doctor in Selma that was over the residency program, and he let the residents have the lease. My best friend and another close friend were in residency together at Selma, so that's how I got in.
