I'm here. Guess I will give it another try with the bow this weekend if its not 100 degrees. Lets put it on them again like last year.

Checking in, Looks like I'll be headed over to Pickens county in a little while to get some planting done. Counting down the days to October 15th.

At the family farm in Bibb co planting this weekend. And got my Macon county prop done last weekend. Shaping up to be a good year. Last year was the first te I had ever killed more than one rack buck in a season so hopefully my luck will continue this year. Although my wife is due with our first child 1/26 so there may not be much jan hunting.

Hey Fellas. We got planted last weekend in Lamar Co. If we get some rain I think we'll be fine. Looks like we may have gotten a little over night. Won't be able to get out on Opening weekend as I'd planned, though. Let's put a hurtin' on the rest of the field again!

What counties is everyone hunting at this year? I'll be in pickens county and then close to the Lamar fayette county line. May make a trip to kentucky around the end of October, but not sure on that yet.

I'm still hunting I'm Monroe co. Gonna head up there Thursday and plant all weekend. Hopefully it will rain at the beginning of the week and it will be just right for the week end. Our bow season is open here at home but I'm not much for hunting in 90 degree weather. Way to many skeeters and deer flies. Hope is cools off soon.

If I can get the sorry fuckers I have to deal with at the club to show up we will be planted next weekend. I ain't got any good bucks on camera at the club but one nice 8 at the house. Rachel and Stephen can have him I'm hoping the big ten shows back up this year.

This lack of rain has me concerned. We were supposed to,get about an inch over the last few days. Ain't get squat!

Got all the plots planted at the camp. I was really surprised at all the deer sign we saw. Hope they stick around. Need 2 more days of drying on my plot here at the house. Went check yesterday and it had lots of tracks also. Went check my ploton the farm today and the hogs found it. They got the nutsedge clipped about an inch above the ground. Gonna try to get it planted this weekend. Young bucks are starting to get on there feet here. Next cool snap should kick them off good. I will be out there ready for them.

I see we have some teams already posted up some points. Our primative season opens tomarrow, and I guess I'm gonna have to suck it up and put my big boy pants on and go hunting in this heat and Mosquitos. Starting to see some good chasing. Saw a nice buck chasing a doe in one of my rice fields yesterday morning. Got to get us on the board. If I do kill one I'm going to once again need someone to post the pic for me. Still ain't figured that crap out.

I'll be in the stand Thursday morning for the bow opener....going to try and stay as long as I can but I'll be coming off a 12 hr night shift. I'm off most of the following week so I'll be hitting it hard and hope to put one down or a couple. Good luck to y'all that will be getting out this coming week.

I've finally found the bucks at the club but nothing real big. Hopefully the big boys will show up soon.

Finally got every thing wrapped up in preparation for the upcoming season. Planted 3 different properties totaling slightly over 30 acres. All of them have got enough rain to have them all looking like theyll make a good stand. Those are in Bibb, Lee, and Macon counties. Can't wait to get up a tree Thursday lets give em hell again this year! Heck they've even got prizes this year!

Well I struck out this past morning. Had a doe at 23 yards but couldn't get a shot. I'll be back at them in a couple hours, trying to break the ice on the season.

I don't know about y'all, but I think until we're unseated as the world champions of deer slaying that our thread should be set at the top of the page in the forum. There should be some perks if they're going to give prizes this year.
