Is it just me, or does there seem to be a small group of folks who thrive on being martyrs here? Folks who refuse to abide by the small set of rules here, but then complain behind the scenes like they're being persecuted when they get ousted because of it. In the process, they gain a few sympathizers who keep it stirred up around here.
I'd already had the thought, but the steelman thread really brought it home. He doesn't want to leave...he wants to be kicked off. The only reason I can come up with for someone who "supposedly" wants to leave, but refuses to do it on his own, is to join the merry band of martyrs here.

Sounds like someone feels left out and has trouble making friends. My little niece complains the same way when she feels left out.

I can't understand why one of the mods didn't grant his wish and end the steelman drama scene early in the thread or at least contact him via PM and try to defuse the crap. You could tell where it was going. You're absolutely right. Sad part is administrator kept it going and escalated instead of ending it. Shameful behavior for an administrator.

That thread should have been shut down quickly without the needless escalation and insults to a person who is clearly mentally disturbed (Steelman, not the admins).
