Saw one a flat bed last week along with some other military equipment and snapped a pic, don't have a photobucket account or I'd post it up.

I love the "TERRAINARMOR™ NON PNEUMATIC TIRES". So many thorns (Bois d'arc trees) at my place that these would be awesome.

From article:

"eliminates the need for an on-vehicle spare; minimizing logistical support and tire maintenance while increasing the available payload. Testing of the TerrainArmor has proven a capacity of 6000-plus miles at full combat load, 1000-plus miles with railroad spikes driven directly through it, 1000-plus miles after being shot by a M4 or AK47, and 350-plus miles after being shot by a .50 caliber rifle!"

With a price tag of $3999 for a set of 4 I think I'll pass. I can see them being very handy but I can purchase 7+ set of other tires for that kind of coin.

John Deere has similair tires on some of their zero turn mowers now as well. Pretty cool concept.

Yeah thats pretty pricey. I used Gempers Bulletproof foam in everything with a tire and have not had any more flats. I even did my wheelbarrow I use to bring firewood in from the barn. I think everything was around $700. That is my International 986, Massey Fergerson 245, the big disk tires, the Ranger, and 2 four wheelers and a wheel barrow and a hand truck.

Just wish I could put it in the little farm truck, but it is rated for less than 25 mph.
Best money you can spend in my area.

I love my country, but don't trust my government.

How does that foam effect the ride? I need to do something with my mower and have an old beater 4 wheeler that tires are always losing air too.

Only the Gooberment would pay 10x what somethings worth. And they wonder why the debt is so high.

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!
