Thinking about getting a couple for the family.......I know very little about them. Are there any good sites that can help me learn about them.

I'd recommend staying away from Ascend. I've never personally owned an ascend sit-on-top kayak but I have a few friends that do, they have a problem leaking in the scupper seams after only a few trips.

I currently own an Ascend sit-on-top and have taken it through the bay area and ocean multiple times without any problems or leaks. Some might be better than others but I don't know.

I would recommend the Ascend sit-on-top. It paddles excellent and I believe the seats they offer in them can't be beat (I've spent a whole day in one with no back problems). The only downside in my opinion is that it is a very heavy Kayak and also the front storage is difficult to reach but, the rear storage is big enough for most medium sized coolers, tackle boxes,etc...

I'm leaning towards the Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 or the Vibe Sea Ghost 13.......Any advice on these two?

I have an Ascend ordered from Bass Pro. Reading the reviews on youtube, ect they recommend sealing the scupper holes and you have a great Kayak. Mine should arrive Friday. I bought the 12 foot.

You will enjoy it. I have the 12 ft sit-on-top fishing kayak. Have had it for 2 years now. I think the design has changed since I've had mine.

Anyone have a Native manta ray 12 or wilderness systems tarpon 12? I found these 2 used. Tarpon looks like it may have a little more room in the back for my lab to ride, but both look like good boats.

I know a lot of people who have used wilderness systems tarpon boats and like them a lot. I am thinking about getting a new one for my next boat

Check out the Ride Max 115 Angler. I love mine. I'm 6'03" 290 lbs and can stand up in it. You won't beat the seat in them.
