The bank I use has always used retail when determining loan value. If your buying, your not buying at trade value. Your buying at retail if you buying from a dealer. Not dealer. I ask a person about buying their truck = They said they would take = Loan Value. So how do I find Loan Value. Kelly Blue Book says 1 thing. Then NADA = gives = Trade - in THEN Clean Retail. Which will the bank Loan?? That was my question????

Some banks use black book wholesale to determine loan value. Some use NADA. I don't know of any that use KBB. Dealers will use KBB almost exclusively to value your trade.
