This is a pic of a HUGE moccasin killed by a buddy of mine at the lake at our club in Pickens county. Its was probably 5yrs ago. The lake is 13ac and is covered up with snakes of all kinds especially moccasins. Def the biggest moccasin I have ever seen.

I would put a alligator in that 13 acre lake!
Hopefully he would love the taste of snakes!

That's a giant! Gives me the heebie-jeebies just seeing that sucker! We are covered up with them as well. Scares the lights out of me to let my boys play at all at the camp during the summer. Dad killed one yesterday morning on the metal grate where we clean our boots just outside the front door as he was letting the dog out. Can never be too careful with those nasty rascals. Only good moccasin is a dead one!

IMO moccasins are the most aggressive of all our slithering earthly critters. Atleast the ones in Alabama. They don't retreat like most others. They charge full steam ahead!

Ha Johnny Mack! I wasn't there. My buddy was fishing with his daughter and they saw it swimming on the other end of the lake. They trolled down there and saw it climb out of the water. He landed he boat and got out and walked over and found it and finished it. If I remember correctly there was another smaller one right near where he was standing that he shot too.

I'm not a fan of them but I'll usually leave them alone unless they get to close. However, I will go out of my way to kill a moccasin.

You really think he's gonna open it with "snake" being in the title?

I'll agree with that. Been chased many times by em while wading swamps frog gigging and fishing.
