I'm thinking about trading my Toyota 4x4 Highlander for a 4x4 Ram 2500 gas burner. Probably a Bighorn model. I drove my buddy's Ram 2500 from Kentucky last week and liked it. My wife hates riding in the Highlander even though I bought it for us to travel in. She likes my 05 Z71 GMC but I have 210,000 on it and I just use it as a hunting truck. I don't want to travel in it because of the milage. I've always wanted a 2500 truck but never considered a MOPAR product. Anyone have any experience with this truck?

No but I've wondered the same thing. Im considering a 2500 or 3500 for my next purchase.

A buddy of mine has one. He seems to like it. I know he was having an issue with it just shutting off at random times which was no fun while driving . Gets around 10mpg which is why I wouldn't ever buy a gas burner 2500

I wouldn't go to a 2500 unless I needed the towing/hauling capacity. The cost of ownership would be considerably higher than a half ton model. This. I've owed heavy duty trucks most my life and everything on it costed double the price of a half ton. Brakes and oil change are the worst. If you ain't hauling with it go with a half ton. They ride dang good.

My neighbor had a 2500 gas crew cab 4wd in a work truck package. He uses it just to pull his boat. It has the rubber floors that can be hosed out. I LOVE that truck. Its clean, simple and big. Looks sharp.

I'd like to have a 2500 dodge but it wouldn't have a gas engine in it....

The 2014 that I drove from Kentucky got 16-17 mpg with the big gas engine. I think it's a 6.4 or 6.7. I could live with that but I'm concerned about the milage some of y'all posted. 10 mpg is a deal breaker for sure! My Highlander gets 21 mpg.

My 2014 ram 1500 eco-Hemi gets 23 on the interstate and 16-19 around town. I love it when you don't need the power it goes to 4 cylinders and when you put your foot in it the horses are there for you. I have owned a ford, chevy and since I have had a Dodge I want have anything else. I absolutely hate when my truck and my wife's tahoe goes to only 4 cylinders. I'm getting that shitt turned off on both of them.
