My camper sits 1/4 mile off the paved road , my place is landlocked and I also can hunt the land I have to cross to get to my gate. Normally I drive down in the morning and park at the paved road , because turkeys roost around my camp. Well I decided to come this afternoon and roost me a bird and they where in the road by my camp and hens went left in the pasture and two long beards went right, back in the woods . I stayed in the road to keep them from coming back to the hens until dark . I heard them go to roost , so my question is do you think they will pitch down in the road and go to the pasture or try to call the hens back in the woods ?

I thought I new where I was going in the morning until this happened . I guess I'll hunt within site of my camper and truck .

Check legal shooting light which tomorrow will be black dark because of the cloud cover, stand behind a pine tree and get a good prop with your barrel on the left side of the tree assuming you are right handed and the first time he gobbles shoot him out like a tree rat. go eat breakfast before anyone else clogs up the local diner.

I live in Chicago and even I know about the Dime Store. I've eaten there with Tru Talker during deer season.

Even better than the Dime Store is Abercrombies Fish Camp for dinner. Hottest waitresses I've ever seen and the food is excellent too.
