I have heard that the ecoboost is a good pulling machine, however I bought the 5.0.

I know A LOT of people that have bought the Ecoboost. Out of all of them I've only had one tell me he likes it. Some have said they are fine if you don't EVER pull anything and you just drive it like a car, but don't get it if you want a truck to perform like a truck.

I bought a 2014 Crew cab fx4 5.0. My little brother bought same truck just with a eco boost his truck was quicker than mine and pulled our boat (21 ft Triton) better than my 5.0 I recently traded mine for a f250 psd but fuel milage wise he averages 18 my 5.0 averaged 15.2 same as my 250, put a trailer behind it when you test drive and see which 1 pulls better I know a few who made their decision that way

i have a 2011 Ecoboost with 67K on the odometer, I pull a trailer ranging from 2K to 10K lbs a couple of hundred miles per weekend, almost every weekend, and haven't had a seconds trouble out of it.
It has tons of power, and does good on fuel and averaged a touch over 20 mpg running 75-85 the last time I took it to TX. Pulling a load the mileage drops, as is to be expected, but it will pull my tractor in 6th gear all day long, and pass anything I need to.

I have the Eco boost and love it. I have 76k miles on it so far and have no problems and get around 17-18 mpg. It will pull the wheels off of anything I've put behind it also. X2, i did have to have a tune up and now I get even better gas mileage. 17 city 22 highwy. Only get 13 towing though. Been a good truck for the 3.5 years I have had her.

My patrol car had the ecoboost in it and it's crazy crazy fast. I have a buddy that has a 150 with an ecoboost and it don't get near the fuel mileage he thought it would. I would buy the 5.0 if I were buying.

I think Ford was just about the only major car maker that didn't accept the bailout money. I'd buy a Ford just for that reason
