For mice, a glue trap with a SMALL dab of peanut butter will do the trick. Mice get in our garage and that takes them out quickly.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Beats the Chit out of me. I had a mouse get into my house a week and a half ago. I had been working on a drain and had to cut an access hole through the wall/floor. He must have came from there. I set out a few traps with peanut butter on them- He licked the traps clean without setting them off? I put poison out under the house an haven't seen signs of him since.
I was getting ready to go buy a few of the live traps.
The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.

the haveaheart traps are sold at TSC pretty cheap, they are effective in catching skwerls our you can borrow my skwerl dog and we will tear up some stuff up there! PB is good bait in it also.

Glueboards are more successful if you trim the edge that will be against the wall so that they have to get in the glue. Otherwise a savvy rat will tiptoe down the edge and never step in the glue.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Put you a little thread smeared with peanut butter on the trap. They'll tug on the string and it'll set the trap off.

Something has been running around upstairs in the attic. I'm pretty sure it's a squirrel but the wife saw a mouse under the fridge tonight. Now she is having a come apart. What's the best way to get rid of all of these. We have young kids so not too crazy about poison except for the attic. DO NOT use poison unless you are absolutely sure you can get the dead critter once it is dead. My wife put some poison under our tub for some mice we had. About a week later, we raised the poison had indeed worked when we started smelling the stench from the dead rodents. It finally stopped stinking after about a week.

Options 1)Empty beanie Weenie can and a piece of a toothpick. Believe it or don't, it actually works pretty well. 2)Five gallon bucket, ramp, dowel rod, and peanut butter. 3)T-rex trap (google that one) Cool trap there. 4)Glue trap 5).22lr w/rat shot 6)Racket type bug zapper. 7)Call the Man

Pure peppermint oil on cotton balls. They will leave the county. Smells good too.
Really?

If you can hear it running in the attic it is probably a squirrel. I had one getting in my attic. Ended up killing 13 in my back yard before I finally got him. You need to get about the business of getting him though because they will eat through the ceiling, the siding, wiring, etc. The only damage mine did was eat through the siding on the soffet. I found where he was getting in. There was a gap between the roof decking and the gutter just barely big enough. Also, found out he has a nest built in the soffet area where he could run around freely since there is no insulation there. I put my fishing net in the gutter, drug a broom stick down the soffet and ran him out. He went right into the net and fell off nearly on my head. When he got to the ground I beat his ass to death with the broom stick. Seriously. Wife said I made crazy sounds and screamed like a girl but I don't believe her. I did throw my 22 on the ground in the process and don't remember it. Good times!

Don't matter what you use, unless you find where they are getting in at and seal it off,you will always have them, when we bought our first house we would get a mouse every few weeks,I caulked and spray foamed every little crack I could find and we went 9 years without a mouse until we sold the house
