Ive gotten to where thats about all I care to listen to anymore. A little country here and there. All of those listed above are fantastic. Surprised my wife with tickets to WinterJam for Valentine's. Building 429, Jeremy Camp, For King and Country, Newsong, And a few others are the line up. Really looking forward to it.
I cant get into it .Maybe it's because I was raised in southern gospel all of my life.I come from a long line of southern gospel singers. Was raised up going to the sacred heart singing schools learning four part harmony and when I listen to praise music all I hear is the same message repeated over and over and over while being sung in just the melody but I will say this. It's still more glorifying to God than the crap you hear on the radio.Just a matter of taste thats all.

just like any music genre, there are a lot of clinkers, and a few great songs. when we still lived in jefferson county (up to july of last year) we quit listening to wdjc because most of the music had gotten so bad: weak lyrics, wimpy music, just like bad pop songs.
october, you mentioned southern gospel. i have tried so hard to like it over the decades, but to ME, it sounded much the same like barbershop quartet, no matter how perfect the harmonies. then again, there is gold city's version of midnight cry. i get chills just thinking about it. that group's contra tenor is incredible ...

Jeremy Camp is my favorite. But I like listening to all the Christian contemporary bands listed above. Sidewalk prophets, big daddy weave, sanctus real, third day, casting crowns seem to be some of my more favorite bands recently. I've dove hunted several times with the tour bus driver for casting crowns. He use to be a youth pastor at a church in Rainsville Al. Hoping to score some good tickets next time I see him. Lol

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Just think if we all liked the same thing how boring life would be.I often believe that is why God "allowed" us to split off in denominations because different things appeal to different people. As long as it's Christ born of a virgin,FREELY crucified on a cross and risen from the dead to save mankind from their sins then IMHO there aint a thing wrong with it.What one likes and another doesnt really doesnt matter as long as it matches up with God's word.
