Dang. Been sitting here in the truck at my spot wondering what in the world I’m doing. It’s windy and cold. I’m probably going to sit here a bit and sneak in at first light and try to hunt till noon. I’m finally on some deer and need to redeem myself from last week. That wind is just brutal right now but the rut seems to be starting here so I am here. Saw a spike dogging a doe pretty good last week. PooBear was probably right to sit this one out.

well I went to the frig. to fix my breakfast , no BACON ! so im headed to dallas co., not carrying the Mathews ,carrying the lever action, 44mag., open sights, JM stamped,to get some BACON, wild hogs !!!

No dice. Crazy how I went from seeing deer every sit at the beginning of the season, to now where I can't buy a deer! Gotta re think my strategy and figure something else out. I'm determined to get my first buck this year.

Saw about 10 deer today. Got my bow off the hangar twice. Came to full draw once. Didn’t feel like fooling with a doe so I passed.
