We're planning on a 3 day trip down there at the end of the month. How's the logging and the deer doing so far. They should be starting to rut down there then. I wonder if my spot I hunted last year will have a tree standing on it when we get down there

From 2009 until present the breeding data we've collected puts the average conception date between Jan 6-10. In most cases bucks are very active and prone to death 10-14 days prior to the peak conception date. So from the week of Christmas through middle of January is a great time to be there.
