I killed a dang goodun this year in Kentucky with one of my best friends in the world! I decided to go ahead and get the gobbler mounted so I'd always have something as a reminder of just how special that trip was. Little to my surprise my taxi had my mount done in two weeks and what a FINE job he did! I still can't believe it! #blessed

Here's the one that I had mounted. Not my biggest bird and I really have no special story or reason as to why I got him mounted. I seen one mounted like this when I was younger and said I'd like to have one done like that one day so here it is. 11 1/4" beard and 1 1/4" spurs.

That is a right nice mount there. You ought to use it as a struttin decoy if you get tired of killin em, or put it in the garden to scare the crows away

I would get one mounted if I could afford a good mount. I had 26 lb. 11" beard, 1-5/8 spurs to get mounted in my freezer. But I didn't want to spend the money on a good mount, and the cheap ones looked like hell. So I finally just fan mounted with his beard and saved the spurs.

Wish I was rich. I don't want one to come back lookin like Spurcollecta's

Me too. The one I seen was hanging on an old barn door in a sporting goods store. The cedar that this one is hanging on came from the property where I grew up. The fox squirrel sitting on top of it is one that I killed the same year I killed the turkey. My taxidermist came up with the idea of sitting him on top of the post.

Just now saw the fox squirrel. Looks like he is colored different than most fox squirrels.

Rhett Kelly did this turkey for me two years ago, beard was over 11 inch and thickest I've ever seen! was an 1 1/4 where it came out of his breast. 1 1/2 and an 1 5/16 weighed just over 19lbs... Lowndes county Pasture turkey... I've got another getting done from this year, Looking forward to adding to my collection.

I wish I had a better pic but here's a thick multi-bearded, banded, MS public land bird I killed back in 2002
