"That old man" is a retired state game warden with about three decades of experience. So, he's probably been in a few more tight situations that might have resulted in getting shot than blocking someone's driveway.
Right, when he was a game warden...and much, much younger. And I would respect a game warden's right to hold me. Not some random man claiming to be some reserve deputy showing no proof, for all I know it's some old dude with dementia. And he's still an old man, retired game warden or not...just like TC's grandpappy
