Hunted yesterday and had a group of gobblers come in, one got about 35 yards and was drumming behind a bush.
Never stepped out, safety was off and I was ready to rock.
Today set on one that gobbled a few times, then had a jake come in for a little bit, then called his hens away.
So he eases down the hill toward the bottom and a group of jakes comes running in and beats his tail. They all left after that.

Figured you might have done gotten married or something. I had a terrible final weekend. Shutout Saturday AM, truck died later that afternoon, and had to deal with that during a monsoon Sunday AM... it was awesome not married yet...

Guys I hate it I didn't kill one. It was a rough year for me. Hunted more than I ever have and only have memories to show for it. First time in 10 years I ain't killed at least one. Called in 2 for my dad. I can say I hunted at least 4 days a week usually 5-6 and only went one time and didn't hear a gobble. But I hunt in the mountains of Jackson county so I can hear a LONG ways and most we're on land I couldn't hunt.
