I was nearing the top of a small hill when I stopped next to a big white oak to yelp a couple of times. Three gobblers hammered on the other side, so I sat down real quick and got ready. I didn't make another sound, I just waited. A few seconds later they gobbled again and headed my way. I could hear them coming through the leaves and then saw three red heads as they popped over the hill with two of them in full strut. A few seconds later my boot was on top of this one. It was quick, but what a show!

I'm very blessed to have some really good turkey farms and each year I think I get more and more addicted. I love to deer hunt, but there is just something special about turkey hunting that really gets me fired up to get out of bed and go. Ain't nothing like it...
