Wow Hal! I don't know how you killed the turkey after putting that many shot into saplings. My sapling looked like that but the turkey just walked away. Not the first sapling I've nailed, but I hope the last. The fact that the barrels are not on the line of sight on a sxs is a bigger issue than I realized it would be. Since the foul-up, I've been more conscious of it, and I've been in several situations where it could have easily happened again. Got to be really aware of it when I use a sxs. Of course, got to be aware that the barrel is below the sight on the SBE. I once finished killing a cedar tree that I had pushed over with the dozer the fall before when shooting at a gobbler. It was about 3' in front of my barrel and absorbed the whole load. The red dot was right on the turkey; the barrel was right on the cedar. That turkey just walked off too.
My turkey I killed was 39 yds, so I'm sure the little gun would have killed him. Not ready to switch back yet.
