They will - for 20 years... All of the ceramic grill inserts will crack after a few hot burns. And Primo will replace the liner when it does, but it is not unusable - just put a piece of charcoal behind the pieces to hold them together and Q on!

I have a Kamado Joe. Was MUCH cheaper than the Egg. About 65% cost of Egg. I bought the KJ and all accessories for less than I would have spent for a bare Egg.
AND I LOVE MY KJ GRILL!!!!! Where can I get one of these $300 Kamado Joe Grills? I knew they were a little less but I didn't know they were giving them away.

you didnt ask but Ill throw it out there.... Dont rule out the Chargriller Akorn. After reading great reviews on the BBQ forums from owners that own some of the higher end smokers I gave it a shot and couldnt be happier. I smoked a lot of meat before owning it and love everything about it.
I built a table for it and for 300.00 its a smoking deal (pun intended).

My Primo fire box has cracked twice but it was my fault. I used a propane torch to start the fires putting too much heat on one spot. I switched to an electric starter ($10 @ Wmart)& the newest one is fine (2 years). Lifetime warranty, free replacement.
