Decided to hit the woods after work today. I dropped off in a hardwood creek bottom where I know birds like to roost hoping to catch one coming through before dark and started doing some light calling, well after about 20 minutes I got a little louder throwing in some cuts and loud leaf scratching. All of a sudden I catch movement on the otherside of the creek heading my way! 2 bright red heads and beards swinging make a hard left and disappear dropping off in the creek (creek is large and prob an 8 foot drop from bank) to cross to my side, I can't believe it. Once they get down in the creekbed I turn my body and reposition to where I think they'll come up at. Lead bird walks right to the end of my Benelli M2 at 30 yards and takes a Nitro to the face, starts flopping and ends up going back off the embankment into the swift flowing creek before I could get to him! I laid my gun down ,took off after him and proceeded to jump down in the 3 foot deep water to gladly claim my trophy. came in completely silent 9 1/2 beard 1" spur 15/16 spur 19 lbs
