Great deer, scrub buck!

Tree Hanger, I think your right. Hunt long enough and we all have that happen to us. Had something similar happen to me once. However mine had a great blood trail. I ended up pushing him off the property because I moved in too soon. I tracked him for more than 100 yards and finally lost the trail at a logging road. Didn't call a dog cause we are not welcome on their property. I left rather than push my luck with the neighbors.

Anyone going to be in the woods this weekend? If I can get out, I will. It'll more than likely be my last opportunity unless something unexpected pops up at the last minute.

Still hunting where I shot the big one last week. Haven't seen another shooter but I got a nice crop of 2 year olds in here.

Been VERY slow over here I've hunted 4-5 days a week and only killed 1 deer in the past 2 weeks. Never seen it this slow before, I did see 2 monsters on my way to a stand this morning but it was 5 in the morning and couldn't shoot, 2 of the biggest bucks I've ever seen tho.

I'm also not seeing many does this year, unlike years past idk what it is.

Ok, finally got the pics from my brother and posted up. Something must have been wrong with his camera...I'm a lot better looking in person.

That's a nice buck! Cameras seems to always be messed up when I'm in front of them...

Congrats MattIce!

I got my doe about 20 min ago

Well fellers, I'm done for the season. Haven't seen a buck my last two hunting trips. Spent three days seeing absolutely nothing until today when I saw three does for about 10 seconds. Frustrating.
Congrats scrubbuck that's a great deer!

Guys, I've been skunked all season! Something is very weird at our club this year. Not much deer movement at all. I've seen a few spikes and 4 points, which are not up to 6 point or better club rules. Did not lay eyes on a shooter buck or even one close to a shooter. Never saw a doe to shoot either, but one little bambi (maybe 40 pounds?) that I was trying to get my son on--no luck there either as she was spotted in a lane and then disappeared before we could even get on her.

Zero deer taken all season. No meat in freezer. No help with team points. Really bad season.

But congrats to all of you who took some fine bucks! Proud for you! Some of you had a tremendous year! Great Job!

I'll probably hunt a few more times around the house, but I'm pretty much done. I'm about ready to get the fishing gear out anyway.

I did see a 2 yo 6 point this afternoon that appeared to be in full rut. He was definitely looking for does.
