Did you do a long bleat or a short one?

I used them with no results either way.

I have had mixed results with it. I do believe that under the right circumstances it will work as advertised but also it will spook deer away if used improperly or in the wrong situation. Just my 2 cents

Yday my daughter and I went hunting. I put her beside a patch and I walked into the creek 100yds away and sit down by a tree. At 4:30 a 7- point walked up and laid down 45 yds from me. He stayed there around 10 minutes and got up and was meandering away from the patch so I used the lil can. I turned it over twice and he hit the creek so hard running away that I'm surprised there was any water left in it. Ive never been a big fan of calls and this experience backs that up. I've always been the kind to play the wind and be quiet and I will continue to do so. I'd say you spooked him being that close,he knew there wasn't a deer close by. It would be like somebody jumping out from behind a door in your house. I think when there out trolling a can with grunts can and is effective.

Years ago I was sitting in the woods off of a green field and I saw a 6 pt on the field. I hit the can(short can) a few times and he came from about 75 yards right to me. He stood 5 yards from my tree looking for the doe. Other than that I have not really had any luck with it.

I have had no luck with them at all. But,with that being said my brother hit it one time this year and shot 6-7 year old buck that came to him on a string and he swore by it before that happened. It must be technique or luck. I personally think it scares deer.
