I watched him in person and in the rest of the games on TV. I watched him run for his life a bunch, and he can run. He never threw for a TD in mop up duty and most of his drives stalled. He does not have the "IT" factor when it comes to a QB. Thats why Im telling ya that the boy thats red shirted right now will be FSUs next QB after Jameis, even if Coker stayed.


You nailed it, but don't realize it. "Mop up duty". He was playing with the second/third string guys against the other teams' first string. AJ McCarron looked like total crap in mop up duty his redshirt freshman year. Why? Because he was playing with 2nd and 3rd stringers against other teams' starters.

Again, I'll take the word of his coaches and teammates who see him every day over the word of a casual fan anyday. Kirk Herbstreit watched Coker a lot in preseason practice, and is raving on twitter about him right now.
