You are going to hunt morn, break, hunt afternoon.

Afternoon you are going to hunt til dark. Get there ~ 3:30ish.

Mornings - you will only sit for 3-4hrs what time do you get to the stand?

I am thinking ~7:30-8:00 - sit until just after 11:00.

6am until 10am, if nothing is moving.

2pm until dark, regardless of activity.

I got in the stand yesterday at 12 and killed a buck at 2:15. Last two weeks have been coming out at 12 and seeing deer all the way home. 12 to dark is what I've started lately.

This time of year at our place there is no bad time to be in a stand. When that thing gets to smellin right they could come by at any time. Quit hunting buck sign and find the does, the bucks wont be far. I had a young buck come in and bed 20 yards from me yesterday at 3:00 he watched the hillside till 4:45 when another young buck came in and they postured each other for 15 min. This is in an area where I have seen a group of does moving to a food plot all year.

The world needs more people holding deer in pictures, and less people holding cameras in front of mirrors.

I've hunted about 2 hours each day this week at midday. Have yet to see a deer. Trying it again in a little while.

I always want to be sitting while its still dark so I can be in position to see any movement at first light. I always sit until 11-1130.
Afternoons are 2 - dark as long as its not a downpour.
I've never had the sitting stamina necessary to sit through lunch all the way til dark.

If your average leaving time is around 9 I feel like you're missing a lot. I see usually see most of my deer from 8:30-10:30.

I hunt mostly mornings try to be from dark to around 11.
If I hunt evenings around 2-dark.

Cameras have shown little movement on our place before 10AM, but decent movement between then and dark. I've done several 9Am to dark sits this year, but I have had little to no luck in even seeing a dang deer. I have not figured the pattern out yet. Beginning to think we are not holding that many deer for bedding and only see deer if and when they decide to feed during the daylight.

During the rut It's "Suns up, Guns up" It's good to be in the deer woods as much as possible around this time. I usually sit from daylight to around 10-11 and/or then from around 2-dark. I think tomorrow I'm gonna try for 10-dark though. Its always been hard for me to sit from daylight to dark.

5:30 AM til dark. I see more bucks between 10 and 2 than any other time. I hunt a 200 acre family farm surrounded by 1700 acres of private land with no hunting.
You would think the bucks would move anytime but they are nowhere to be found in the morning or the afternoon. Does move off and on all day. It has been this way for 30 years.

I have seen plenty of deer this year between 10-12. Dont seem to see deer between 12-3. I have put in 3 all day hunts this year (dark to dark). My typical hunt is dark 11-12 then eat, and get right back in the woods 12-1 until dark. I figure the longer I'm on stand, the better the opportunity to see deer. I can't see them on the couch for sure!
