LUMPY OP 14 point L Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 6,728 Huntsville, Al	Yesterday morning I was very fortunate to kill my biggest deer to date....I was running late after getting my daughter ready for daycare and didnt get to my parking spot until about 0700...after the 20 min walk and climb up the tree I was settled in about 735...as soon as I sat down and got comfortable I heard walking and saw a spike cruising thru...I tried to grunt him in for fun but he paid me no attention....well about 840 I stuck my hand in my pocket to warm up a min and hit the grunt call and figured I'd give it another go....right about 0900 I saw a deer jump a down tree about 100 yards in front of me...turned out to be a doe, 4 point and a shooter!!! They were in the edge of a thicket and oak patch I was watching...the 4 point came right on out in the opening but the doe and shooter were staying in the thicket where all I could see was a glimpse here and there....finally the 4 point turned to go back in the thicket and the shooter showed himself again....that turned out to be a fatal mistake for him!! I knew he was a good mature deer but never had a good look at his rack when I shot, just knew he had good tine length...when I got about 30 yards from him I realized he was a stud....and he continued to grow the more I looked at him and played with his impressive headgear! I was truely blessed yesterday morning with a hunt and deer I'll never forget...Thank you Lord!!!
