Do any of you stalk hunt deer? Any tips on how to slip up on them?

I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin

Yes, but you're not really going to slip up on one. When you think you're walking slow enough, slow down. I prefer a windy day after a rain...or during a rain. It's pretty tough when it's dry, calm and the leaves are crunchy.

I have had good results walking very slowly(1 step and wait a couple minutes) light rain or just stopped raining. Works pretty well in the rut because the bucks are preoccupied. You really got to keep your eyes peeled. My papa called this "still hunting" he was a master at it.

i sneaked up on a buck and doe today and do pretty often. i go from tree to tree, picking the fatest ones. if your looking for movement its too late, you want to see them before they move. also deer have no concept of what a corner is, any time I round any type of natural corner i always slow down and peak around. this time of year stalk hunting is alot more popular due to the cold.

I like to get where I can see and hang tight for about 20 min. Then very slowly move on till I see new ground and hold tight again for a while. Or put yourself on a timer, say every 25 yards stop for 10 min, or something like that. To me five min looking at the same ground is a while.
