Alabama hunter in serious condition after falling from tree, landing on arrow
Published January 01, 2014/ Associated Press
BEAUREGARD, Ala. – Lee County sheriff's officials say a hunter has been hospitalized in serious condition after falling from a tree and landing on an arrow.
The Opelika-Auburn News reports that a 27-year-old man fell out of a tree stand Monday evening in eastern Alabama and emergency responders found an arrow lodged just above his heart.
The man was taken to the Columbus Medical Center in Columbus, Ga.
Sheriff Jay Jones says the man's identity hasn't been released. The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is investigating the accident.

Isn't this the same town where the kid was accidentally shot?
Yep, I just checked, it was.

Yep, I just checked, it was. That town sounds like it needs safety courses mandated ... Hope he is alright...

I guess the moral of the story is to wear a harness and use a rope for your equipment? Ian: Deer Hunting 101 - A deer ain't worth your life. Yes. Never start up a tree without it.
