If you want a screen and barrier for man and beast look into some trifoliate orange. Nothing will pass through it without shedding lots of blood. Grows to about 8-12 feet from what I can tell.
I'll even dig some up for you if you pick it up.
Not just NO! but HELL NO! When that crap gets out of hand it consumes the land and man nor beast can pass thru it without losing pints of blood. Oh, so you have some of it too? Ask TC about the time he came into contact with it in his skivies.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

No, I dont have any thank God! But I surveyed a 600 acre tract of it Wilcox County, myself and my crew were bloody from head to toe halfway through the day. Combine that with regular Summer heat and bugs and I have hated that crap ever since.

My advice would be to just let the field go and growup.Put your time/money into making what other fields you have better. If his house is that close to the field there'll prolly never be another deer killed in that field anyway..specially with the dogs running around. They'll prolly chase every deer off the field they see till the deer completely avoid the area.Another reason is its hell...absolute HELL living next to someone you cant get along with.Btw..Kevin has shot a mexican..(and no it wasnt me).in the ass before.Just a thought It ain't Kevin the people that have the horses beside the peach orchard.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Let's get this straight. You build a food plot 50 yards from your property line, then you want to bitch about what your neighbor does on their property. Unreal X2

It's fine if they build a house there I'm just trying to figure out a way to screen them from my property. I don't won't to look at their house and I'm sure they don't care to watch me walk by with a gun when I'm hunting. I pulled up to meet them today on my side of the fence and first thing the woman says don't be shooting over here understandable but just got under my skin.

Leyland cypress the ones i planted to block out the view from the house beside me and they are over 30feet tall and says they can get up to 40. Plant them close togetherand they will grow into each other and you wont be able to see anything. if you water them they will grow faster. THis^^^^ again - very good.

You are screwed, save yourself a lot of misery & call that plot a loss then move on. You are fighting a losing battle & you can't win. I do like the kudzu idea just for a consultation prize.

If i'm not mistaken, you can only hunt that close to a house if its your house. I know it sucks, when someone builds next to you, but like has already been said, you shouldn't have put a food plot close to the line. I would plant some pines in it. If the neighbor doesn't keep their dogs up, i would have a big problem with that, and that would be resolved pretty quick. Tell them your trapping coyotes with steel traps, and if they don't want their little scruffy to get into one of the traps, they better keep him up. Make a deal with them, keep the dogs up, and you wont block their view. Surely there's a leash law where you live. How much land do you own?

Good advice here, but I doubt if he's outside a city limit in Alabama there's a leash law. The coyote angle is a good one . I'd try to work with them. But if all else fails, Leyland Cypress, plant 2 rows staggered, about 10 feet apart with the rows 10 feet apart as well. They will make a heck of a barrier in a couple of years.

If you want a good screen that will benefit you in the long run, get up with me this spring and we will go out to my daddy's and get some of the cane he grows. That stuff will block all visibility and you can sell the poles when they get about 15 feet tall. That stuff reproduces like fire ants, there are zillions of them there.
I can't stand a thief.
