In Bankhead Natl Forrest-Black Warrior WMA, up Hwy 33 about 8-10 miles north of Double Springs. Various trail heads to start from so that will change mileage some. I've hiked a few of the trails over the years. The last one we went on with our Scout troop was The Lookout Trail #203 @ Borden Creek Trailhead. Nice hiking, not too steep. About 2.5 miles to get away from day hiker crowds, plenty of places along the creek that is flat enough to camp with ease. Hwy 33 North out of Double Springs Left onto Lawrence Co Road 6 (Cranal Road) Right onto FS Road 224 (Borden Creek Access Road) Park at lot at end of road at old bridge. Several trail heads right there. http://www.sipseywilderness.org/maps/203.pdf But there are lots of other great spots too. Here is a website that has maps and trail info. http://www.sipseywilderness.org/
