I was hunting wheeler and found one a couple years ago. The difference is at wheeler thats illegal by there rules you can't leave it out over night. I just un-hooked it from the tree ad left it there. Never did go back to see if he had gotten it out.
When I was in college at Jacksonvile State I used to hunt some Forrest land. I would leave my stand but cable looked it. I just hated carrying it in and out. I found 2 on Wheeler, one was on the tree I was intending to climb and the other was just a few yards away. I didn't take them but I sure as hell flagged them up good with my spare paper towels and their pull up ropes. I had taken off that afternoon and went straight to my lucky tree. I trimmed that tree and shooting lanes a couple of years before and had killed a couple of deer from it
