I guess since they scaled it back to one doe a day for that part of the state the thought must have been that too many does were being killed. Cutting out does with flintlocks might follow that trend I guess.
Robert14, they aren't. Flintlocks are more primitive and not near as reliable and do not typically have the same range. I killed my first black powder buck on Wheeler last year with a Lyman Great Plains Hunter Flintlock in 54. caliber. It is really satisfying!!
