I'll try not to be too graphic with this question. I had mine removed two weeks ago tomorrow. I fill good now and everything is healing up well, but I've not had a solid turd since surgery. I guess this is to be expected until my body adjust to not having a gallbladder. My question is, does it ever get solid again? If so, how long does it take? Or can I just expect to be able to sh!t thru a screen door for the rest of my life.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Without a gallbladder you can't digest fats. Doctors love to tell people they don't need their gallbladder but just like every other part of the body it is there for a reason. A low fat diet will help your symptoms while heavy fatty foods will wreak havoc on your bowels.

X a billion. Don't let them tell you it needs to be removed unless it's an emergency procedure. There's some good home remedies for removing gall stones online. You'll crap some green balls for a few days and be all better. Good luck with the recovery. Sorry this info was a little late.

Talk to your Doc about Prevalite, it is a cholesteral medicine that will help you. It really makes a difference in your lifestyle that the gallbladder removal has given you.

I had mine taken out two years ago. Grilled chicken is about the only meat I can eat and not have stomach problems. As previously stated, ANYTHING with grease or oil in it is subject to cause you some problems.

DEADorALIVE had his removed about 2 1/2 years ago. They ran a test to check function and his was only working at about 7% so he had it taken out and felt much better afterwards. However, he still usually has to find a bathroom within a half hour of eating and sometimes there isn't much time to find one when the urge hits.

BamBam, who will be 22 this month, had his out when he was three years old so he gas had most his life to adjust to it, but the same is true with him...he generally hits a bathroom not long after eating.

The youngest boy had his removed due to stones when he was eleven (now is 17) and he does the same.

In fact DoA has had to write notes for both boys for the teachers they had right after lunch so they could leave to go to the bathroom.

I have seen all three of them, on occasion, end up sprinting for a bathroom and come out commenting about how they almost didn't make it in time. Those times I would bet were real dependent on what they ate.

I still have mine, so I do not have firsthand experience, but from what I have been told, while the consistency should improve, you will likely find yourself learning to not stray too far from the facilities after a meal. If you travel much, you will also learn where all the bathrooms are along your frequently traveled routes.

It will straighten itself out. Mine has been out 11 years. If I eat fried foods I might as well start walking toward the toilet. Also, when the pain hits you, don't see how long you can put it off because you are going to chit somewhere. It might be in your pants, in the floor, in the woods, or in the toilet, but you ARE going to chit.

So what I'm gathering is the gall bladder is directly associated with the O-Ring...

I have had NO problems since having mine removed sometime this summer. Regular as clock work. Eat some prunes. That may sound stupid but fiber helps regulate things, not just loosen them up.

Keystone beer will give you the same effects as no gall bladder.

had mine taken out several years ago. Don't get to far from a restroom after eating Fried foods.Lettuce is a problem too. I call a gall bladder a human grease trap. If you ain't got one, you can easily go anytime the feeling hits you. If you don't go very soon after that feeling, then you'll probably need to find a dumpster for your pants.
