I'm set up on the edge of an uncut soybean field that the deer have eaten to the ground. Hoping their still hungry!

I'm sitting on a small food plot that has peas and soybeans in it as well as a mix of oats clover and cereal rye. Hoping for the best.

My partner stuck a 6 point. It was dark do we are going back in the AM to track him. Bringing a dog but it will be fun to track for my first time. I'm meeting him at 730 AM bringing my butt out plug and knife he's gonna let me field dress it, another first for me. Then we'll drag it out ... Gonna see if my harness and drag line are worth a flip

Good deal, Rocket thumbup

I made it in time for a quick hunt this evening, but only saw a coon.

My Dad had a doe and fawn come out in a foodplot. They were very spooky and kept staring into the small patch of hardwoods where Dad was. Finally, after almost 5 minutes of staring up Dad's way, a coyote busted out of the woods near Dad and took off in a sprint after the deer mad

Saw 4 total, 2 yearlings and 2 nanny's, all out of bow range. Had a coyote at 10 yards but he busted me before I could get to full draw. All in all, a fun evening! thumbup

Here's the 2 yearlings ....

Thanks bud, hopefully we will find it. If its down within a few hundred yards of his stand site the dawg will find it. He ran up the mountain and my partner was already way up the side ... We will have to drag it DOWN the mountain, shouldn't be to hard

Shot one early this evening had good blood on the arrow and a little on the ground but no blood trail in the direction shot looked just a little bit back but not much gave up the hunt after 3hours of hard searching. Second deer I've ever shot with a bow it's kinda discouraging

Spent 3 hours looking for my partners 6pt this AM with no luck. We found his first of two arrows at the hit point, was a pass through. It had dried bubbly blood on it (Lung shot?). 10 yards away we found a chit pile then another yard a deep red pool of blood (Heart shot?) near where he shot his second arrow. Looked like he crapped himself then stopped ... took the 2nd arrow and bled into a pool. Then we found another splotch of red blood a yard past the pool like he was heading down the mountain to the swamp. We looked everywhere and could find no more trace of him. Dog couldn't pick up a scent past 20 yards from the 2nd arrow hit point. Sucks to loose one ...
