All these LFTT threads have got me wanting to dust off my bow and give it another shot.

I've bow hunted for years and for years never ever had a shot until 2 years ago. I mean never saw a deer to draw upon. Well 2 years ago I was walking to my truck down the club road...truck in sight..and 2 does step out in the road and we all three freeze. 20 yards.

Arrow was still in whisker biscuit. I managed to hook my release on loop. Managed to come to a full draw pointing down. Managed to gently turn and put pin right behind shoulder. This took at least a minute..slow motion...does stood in the road frozen. I touched the release and she bolted but slipped in the gravel and hit her belly. My arrow was in perfect position but missed her when she fell down. It was so fast I'm not sure she jumped the string at all....just decided to bolt right when I was releasing arrow is what it felt like. Anyway, I missed.

I went last year and saw nothing. I was not even going to pull it out this year at all. I have zero problem finding and killing deer in gun season. But with all these photos and live threads, I'm about to go insane.

Gonna dust it off, shoot for 2 days and go on Saturday morning. If I'm still my normal accuracy, I'll go. My shots will not be over 25 yards where I'll set up.

Patience is the key! I don't see as many deer this time of year either. I don't spend enough time scouting in the off months, so I never pattern them very well. Once acorns and browse are gone then its a different story. It doesn't help that I hunt low density areas. Being home with my family and hunting lower density areas is a decision I'm just fine with though.
