It's hard to give an alternative response to the arguements he has presented but:

Like IDOT said, some of it is respect, some of it is motivation, and a good part of it is coaching. Different defensive strategy, different play calling, different blocking schemes, a totally different approach to playing the game. Everything has changed except 2/3's of the players.

AJ isn't close to being in the Heisman picture. I hate when they bring his name up. He fell out of that early on when the offense struggled.

Offensive/defensive play/schemes along with the coaching the kids up seem to be a key to me. Gus and Ellis have made this team look 180* different in a short time frame. I never thought it would be possible. Granted AU's beat two Mississippi teams and a defenseless aTm, but I do think they'll have one loss heading into the IB.

Not real sure what it means..... I figure it was a really tough game against a quality opponent. Or, a come-from-behind victory on the road????

There is some truth to that statement however CFB and the SEC is better when AU is relevant.

I would argue they got punched in the face at LSU. They went down 14-0 in the first quarter. NOBODY thought they could WIN the game, but they kept competing. They kept their composure and they stayed focused.

You're right in one respect. This team is really not a lot more talented than last year, except MAYBE on the D-line with Lawson and Co. looking MUCH IMPROVED. The difference in this years and last years team Is HEART, FOCUS, and DETERMINATION!

Can they beat Bama? Not if UA plays to their potential, BUT..............it'll be a different game than its been the last two years. If UA sleepwalks some? Well, I was in Bryant Denny in 2010. It's happened before and CAN happen again. Likely wont, as Bama is the best team in the country, and if they beat AU I want them to win it all, but this is 180 degrees from last year.

Alabama will beat Auburn by 17-21 points. I know it was a big win for Auburn but A&M has a horrid defense and by the time the Iron Bowl comes around Bama will have the #1 defense in the nation in every statistical category. Bama would beat A&M by 4 touchdowns right now.

I believe another thing that is boosting auburns success is that the fans are back in support of the team.....and the fanbase adds to the motivation of the players....last year fans were leaving before the half.This year they have to run us out of the stadium

Without a fumble on the goal line by yeldon bama v would have beat them by 4 scores when they played. If little Johnny did not go out for those few plays against auburn, auburn would have lost by 2 or 3 scores today

Johnny should win the heisman again if the winner is the most important player to their team. A&M is not goo without Johnny, he is unreal
