I hunt the Talladega national forest for the last six years.
will you see deer yes can you get a shot maybe to much dog running there , at times there would be several some times 8 different groups at once, you just got to get a head of the groups which can be done but hard to do, when you park becareful were and how you park, been blocked in several times,

now the thing is on the south end near Sylacauga there is gatea and roads every were ,just don't block the gates,

now in sycamore were I live there is less roads and less dog runs because they can't head the dogs off ,now this is were I hunt and there is a lot and I mean a lot of nice deer there, but there is lots of private property as well so you need to learn well.

you can go on private land to get your dog but you better leave the gun in the truck. there is been some dogs shot when they enter some of the local deer leases from what I was told.

I live about 15 minutes from were I hunt and if you want to come down I will show you around the area and show you the land that's private and what is the state land

for you turkey hunters there is more turkeys there then I have ever seen in my life not one day goes by that I don't see 25 to 30 turkeys,

it is a great place to hunt and have fun with nature.

the best time is after dec when the bucks start to rut, a grunt call sure brings them in or a doe call.

just pm me and I will be happy to show you around the area
