How do I add a map layer with the new update go the MAP app

i see what you say now. the base map is a mixed view. you can go to the menu on the left and go to google earth and pull the terrain maps, however, that is a large pain in the buttocks.
i would suggest getting the trimble hunt free app. it has the layers like maps used too. plus lots of other useful crap for hunting.

Mymaps through googles newest version is not there. I had to go to settings, apps, google maps and uninstall the latest update to be able to use mymaps. I have a lot of personalized maps, so until google fixes it i'm staying with the older version.
