I am taking my 15 yr old godson and his buddy to the deer expo, who has the best pizza in town? We will be going Friday for the expo and I not sure how much of Saturday we will spend there....any other ideas for things to do on Saturday?

Davenports. End of Thread. Take plenty of money. It cost my family of 3 close to $70 every time we go there. I would suggest Mellow mushroom on south side or Mafioso's in Crestline village.

Davenports is good... But DeVinci's in Homewood is my favorite.... Ask for a little of their Pesto sauce as well....

Yep. Prince Wimbley used to own one of them, not sure if he owns the others.

I love Davenports! But there are some other really really good choices too: Yankee Pizzeria in Cahaba Heights is great! Tortuga's in Hoover is fantastic...especially the Chicago style deep dish. We eat pizza quite a bit and I'd pick Tortuga's over most anything else. But Davenports is an ICON...old school and awesome! Tortuga's deep dish: ![[Linked Image]](http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c86/straycat870/Aldeer/WhereisLunch3.jpg)

Yep. Prince Wimbley used to own one of them, not sure if he owns the others. He was the manager. Norman owned them all, but has since sold the last one to the girl that used to run the original. And I think its on life support now.
