FWIW, TVA will never sell for enough to make a difference other than bragging numbers that get manipulated to suit the speech for that day.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Wonder what the insurance would cost for a private entity to buy 80-year old dams that have cracks, leaks and if they burst would kill thousands along with untold billions in flood damage.
Just a wee bit of liability. It's not far-fetched to think a dam could give way, either.

TVA covers a lot more than just the power generating plants and power lines. The taxpayer would be on the hook for everything the private company(s) wouldnt cover. So not only would rates go up but taxes would go up.
