I've done the same on other guns Ned. I'm still convinced that if I buy the Ruger, I'm gonna put a Hogue overmolded stock on it though. Gonna try to find out exactly what the length of pull will be on the one for the Ruger short action, but I know that ones on the Howa Ranchland compacts fits me like a glove.
