I have covered over 2000 acres, on 3 tracts, in the last 3 days, which would usually produce an estimated 100+ gobbles from 10-12 different birds. My result, a total of 4 gobbles from 2 different birds. It has gotten down right ridiculously slow over the last week. My guess is that they are done breeding and looking to get back into groups. This land is all located in northeast AL. Any thoughts?

I say they are in the lull that normally happens each year about the middle of April. Since I fully believe things have been behind at least one week maybe two this will put the lull about right now. If you have been experiencing good gobbling your birds are probably in the lull period if I had to take a guess.

Squeaky is right. They are about 10 days behind normal schedule and henned up bad. Second week of may they will be on fire in north Bama.
My experience with Jackson county turkeys is this: Opening day until dogwoods start blooming turkey hunting is excellent. When the dogwoods start blooming, turkey hunting is horrible. When dogwoods stop blooming, turkey hunting is excellent again. I don't know if it is that way all over the state but you can prettymuch set your watch by it where I hunt. I've heard people say "they don't get right until the dogwoods start blooming" but they must know something I don't know.

The last two weeks for me are usually fantastic. Last week was slow so hoping they come out of it this last week.

Well hell no they ain't done! LOL....I figured I might get a few of those! They have just absolutely shut up, for the time being anyway. Like said above, by early May, they will be back rocking it!

In all seriousness, they're not even gobbling on the roost. Is that normal?

I went three mornings before work this week. Didn't hear a single bird, I know they got to be somewhere up there tho. Turkey hunting is gonna turn me grey early I'm thinking. I'm disappointed in myself this season for not being able to make it happen, I've never killed a turkey before, but I got the want to in me. Only got a few days left, good luck fellas I'm in the same boat. Went after them hard this year but they just didn't cooperate. Except for the time they did. And I screwed it up...

wosrt turkey hunting year Ive ever seen. NO gobbling. Ive heard 6 -10 TOTAL gobbles all year..from 3 different birds...two of which died. Im not even SEEING any gobblers or getting ANY gobbler pics running 6 cameras and moving them around where birds have been historically. However they have clear cut alot of our land and are mining a bunch of it right now. Last year at this time the food plots were HOT as the winter wheat had headed and they were feeding like crazy in it.
This year its only 8-9 inches tall.

They ain't done, just a messed up gobbling season IMO. Winter was warm, spring was variable and cold. During season, there were multiple cold fronts followed by warm ups, more than I can remember. In my experience, turkeys don't like to gobble much in changing/variable weather. Steady strings of days of 45 lows and 75 highs tend to make good gobbling conditions (which we have not had much of). They don't seem to gobble much with fronts moving through, nor the following day or 2 with windy/breezy conditions and/or cool weather and they don't gobble much with east winds, all of which we have also had a lot of.
The 5 gobblers I heard this am and the 3 I saw weren't close to being done yet.
I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine
